This was a great location! It was in the main shopping area although it was a brisk 20 minute walk to St. Marks square. It was a good walk there as there are shops all along the way. It's only 5 minutes from the train station which was really handy. Right outside our window were some fruit stalls with the... more

Décor Beautiful old Venetian building with huge chandelier, breakfast in a grand wooden room. Styled décor in the bedrooms, big Italian wood everywhere. Not the cleanest, but had that certain Venetian charm. Mini balcony facing rear garden and fan in the room tried to keep it cool, despite the triple hot August weather. Price Around £50 for a double room,... more

The room was dark and damp. There were 2 tiny single beds with plastic covered foam mattresses. The shower was tiny and stank. Described as a palace...thats a joke and the only atmospheric thing about the building was the stroppy staff. Breakfast forget it. Every morning we were there the place was full so we did not get to eat.... more

My boyfriend & I decided to experience the City of Venice for the first time. We flew with Easyjet to Marco Polo Airport very late in the evening. We bought our tickets for the shuttle bus (3 Euros single or 5.50 Euros return) which are every 20minutes from the airport to Piazzalle Roma (the trip took 20 mins also). Upon... more

This place is located on a street with a market set up every morning right in front of you! it is great to wake up and open your window to a buzzing street with the canals running alongside. I would highly recommend this hotel not only because the prices are so great for such an expensive city, but there is... more

Only a 10 minute flat walk from train station or 15 minutes from bus drop off area. Location was great as close to lots of eateries, shops etc. We had a room right on street frontage. Very very noisy and lots of mosquitos - we got no sleep in the 2 nights we were there. Great breakfast was plentiful with... more

We spent here 5 days. A room was very nice, large and very beatiful. We were pleasant of our bathroom. A staff were very friendly. The breakfast is (only) continental - very good (a fresh croissant), but I prefer ham and eggs. The prize is good. Location is very good. I really recomend this hotel. more

Arcadia has a great location, just walking distance to station, vaporettos and Rialto. Hotel's best part is being in the centre. But the rooms are small, the bathroom is ramshackle and the breakfast is so so weak. In the breakfast you just find croissant (with marmelade or sugar), different kind of juice, corn flakes. No bread, no cheese or else..... more

As far as budget Italian hotels go....this one was nice. The room and bathroom were both large and clean. However in the bathroom, the bathtub/shower did not have a curtain so that water got all over the floor. Just remember not to have anything in the bathroom that you don't want to get wet. The hotel is located near the... more

This was the cheapest place we found for what we wanted in Venice, and it was excellent. They even moved us to a much nicer/bigger room for the same cost as the original one. The staff are very nice and helpful and it is in a great location. Highly recommend! more
