Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights prior to joining a cruise out of Venice to Rome. The hotel was chosen for it's close proximity to the cruise liner terminal, where we departed for our Windstar cruise. Excellent location for the cruise terminal, we managed to walk it in approx 5-10 mins, trundling 2 large cases & 2 back packs..not... more

Just got back. Stayed two nights for 180 euros a pop. Expensive, considering the exchange rate, but the location was perfect. It's a residential area of Venice, just down the block from the Grand Canal and perfect spot. The hotel is really neat building. Built in the 1400s - so it's got amazing character. A nightmare. Hotel is extremely difficult to find. Even shop owners could not direct us. Upon arrival we were told we had been "upgraded" to an apartment. Just returned from 3 nights at Hotel Pausania in Venice. This visit to Venice was the culmination of what, up to that point, had been a fabulous week in Italy. Hotel Puasania is far less favorable that it is portrayed on its website. The location is fine, but the hotel is shabby and needs to be updated. Rooms are tiny.... more
