The room was very clean and comfortable. The problem was it was hard to find, but when we did find it , it ended up being in an excellent location we took the Grand Canal . Take a private boat to the hotel it's about 20euroes. If you have a lot of luggage you do have to go up about... more

Best thing about this place was the nice hotel cleaner, and the second man at the desk and his friend who helped us with train timetable amendments. However, the hotel is a still dark and musty. There are three flights of stairs so definately don't go there is you have any sort of disability as you have to get the... more

I agree with the other reviews that it is difficult to find this hotel, but once found we found it very nice and contributed to Venice being one of our best holidays. The room was very spacious and clean, and the bathroom modern (although the lighting could have been brighter). The manager was friendly (although he only spoke Italian) and... more

It is very difficult to find, we too would have walked for hours dragging our suitcases trying to find it if not for the gracious hostess at the hotel a few doors down who walked us to the door! It's an old building - with old rooms - yes slightly musty (It's VENICE!) but no bugs - the bathroom was... more

Just returned from a weekend in Venice, staying at the Malipiero Suites, Palio Bianco. This is advertised as a four star hotel which it certainly is not. It’s basically a floor of fairly run down rooms housed in what must have once been a very impressive building. The location’s great, but the rooms are very shabby though clean. There is... more

This turned out to be a great place. I booked it without seeing any photos or anything, then stumbled across their own web site, which had lovely photos of this former palace. I couldn't believe it would be as nice as the photos, but it was. With 4 of us, we got their "family room," which was the largest hotel... more

This is not a even a 3-star hotel. It's no hotel at all. We made the same experience as the reviewer from Osaka. The staff were college students, friendly but unprofessional. The breakfast was not 4-star either. The orange juice from concentrate, the rolls were from frozen dough oven-baked. The room was a little run down. And yes, the ground... more

I read the other reviews before booking and thought they were not too bad. I wanted a great location which it was. And I wanted air conditioning which it was. And I wanted a clean bathroom which was also very nice. But the place is a dump. There were no creepy people. But there wasn't even a staff. And no... more

The location of this hotel is ideal - right between the Rialto Bridge and San Marcos Square. It's just really old and hasn't been keep in the best of shape. The manager was very nice and helpful as well (and not at all scary). It is rather hard to find, though, so I would suggest taking a water taxi (even... more

The manager was creepy - reminded us of Lurch. Commented that carrying our heavy bags up the 3 flights of stairs would help us loose some weight - he wasn't one to talk ! Wouldn't help with luggage despite seeing us struggle. Told us he was in control while we were there when I asked about having breakfast before 8... more
