We needed a hotel in Venice for one night prior to our cruise leaving. I booked the hotel based on reviews on tripadvisor. This hotel is in a great location. When my flight arrived in Venice I took a shuttle bus (very cheap) to Piazzale Roma and I was happy that I could see the hotel...it is THAT close. So... more

We stayed in this hotel with some friend for 4 days in October. It is a very well keept 3 star hotel, located in Piazzale Roma in front of the Grand Canal. We booked 3 standard double room in the main building, the view was on the small canal beside the hotel. Rooms where large for Venice and well cleaned.... more

This hotel has the best location in Venice if you're going to use the bus or taxi to connect to the cruise terminal or Marco Polo Airport and have more two or more pieces of luggage. You don't need to cross any bridges after getting off or going to the buses. There two sites to this hotel, the original Santa... more

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 3 days, and it was very nice. It is walking distance from the train station. We had taken the train from Rome to Venice and we thought we would have to take a water bus and try to figure out where this hotel was, but as soon as we got into... more

Dear Friend, I'm happy that you enjoyed our hotel, the room and the staff (we always have a map for our guests!!!). I would like to take advantage of this post to say that if anyone has a preference about the room (Main Building or Dependance) you can just send us an e-mail when you book it! For us it's...

Thank you to all the staff Santa Chiara Hotel. My Husband and our two teenage daughters stayed at this hotel for two nights. We had a very lovely stay. Very clean, quiet, safe and very professional, and customer oriented staff. Our room was large, very clean, and Venice style. What a pleasure to feel real Venician Style, I could not... more

I had been to Venice many times before and stayed in a variety of accommodation types. One of the things that always seemed to get bad reviews was a choice of hotel near either Piazzale Roma or Ferrovia - in general accommodation near either bus or rail station can be hit and miss. However the last time I was in... more

Booked via Opodo at fixed price guaranteed by credit card. On check-in for our 1 night stay we were given a room at the Parisi Residenza, and found it quite acceptable (i.e. clean and comfortable). Checked-out following morning and receptionist confirmed nothing else to pay . . . "stay had been charged to nominated credit card". On returning home we... more

Dear Friend, first of all I'm sorry for the late reply, I made a mistake in posting it!!! We have to clarify and solve your trouble as soon as possible. I confirm you that we didn't charge your credit card, we even don't have any credit card details of the guest who book through Opodo!!! So you should ask Opodo...

Apart from the below-average (at best!) room I was given, the morning clerk gave us such bad information about the early morning airport bus that we missed it! This is a hotel that does much of it's trade due to its location next to the bus stop - which should be ideal for getting to the airport in the morning.... more

Dear Friend, I'm sorry for the trouble with the bus to the airport. The driver of the bus company sometimes doesn't respect perfectly the time schedule, that's why we always suggest to be there a bit earlier. It sounds strange that you had a bad direction to the bus stop. Piazzale Roma is very small, from one side to the...

Our party of four spent two nights in the Santa Chiara in June 2008 on our way by car to Rome. Although initially somewhat apprehensive, we were delighted with the location. And we were thrilled to have our car parked (albeit at 20 Euros a day) in the very adjacent hotel car park. It's a lovely old building with comfortable... more

When we arrived, we were told that the only room left in the hotel had no air-conditioning ("broken") and so we would be taken to someplace called the "Residence Parisi" which was "nearby." I did not really understand what this meant until our luggage was dragged by a porter to a nasty-looking office building literally adjacent to the crowded vaporetto... more

Dear Tom, Residenza Parisi (an historic building more than 300 years old) is the annex of Hotel Santa Chiara. The services in the Annex are the same you find in the main building (even if the furnishment is more modern): A/C, Safe, Minibar, Sat TV, Telephone, Hairdryer. The annex is connected by telephone to the main building, so if you...
