My husband & I stayed at the Bauer and since it was his birthday, so we splurged on a suite. For a little more money, it was worth it. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Make sure breakfast is included in the rate, otherwise you will be disapointed with a very expensive breakfast. more

We left the Danieli and went over to the Bauer!! What a total delight! The Danieli should be visited just for a drink in the lobby -- but not to stay!! On the other hand the Bauer was excellent. One eats breakfast in the morning sunshine. To one side of a view, past various commercial craft and gondolas plying the glittering water’s surface, is Andrea Palladio’s San Giorgio Maggiore; to the other side, Baldassare Longhena’s Santa Maria della Salute. This review is for a dinner we had on the Terrace. We ate their on Wednesday July 16th and had such a wonderful dining experience.
