The hotel is beautifully decorated with terracotta floors and tasteful wood furniture. The extras such as TV/DVD/ADSL - are unusual for a place in this category. Housed in a 19th-century palazzo, it's a simple and cosy place, run by young and service-oriented staff providing 24/7 full support to the guests. No breakfast is provided - no great loss as it's surrounded by convenient cafes and restaurants. Some guides consider it the best value for money in Rome. more » « less

This place is a great find. Not expensive at all for the quality of the accomodations. Great location, great staff (let us leave luggage while we were in Naples for three nights AND they printed out our boarding passes for the flight home). A little bit outside of the tourist hubub, but very close to the Metro lines. Short walk... more

This is generally a pretty nice hotel located in a nice area of Rome. You're very close to the Vatican and very close to a Metro stop, both very nice. First the plusses: Location is good, staff is generally friendly, quiet, free left luggage (in the hallway), hard but clean beds & sheets. The minuses: a bit pricey for what... more

It's only 10 mins walk to Vetican and 5 mins to Metro station. It's a nice and clean hotel located in an old building. The staff is helpful. They don't have restaurant. You have to go out for meals. I found a good Chinese restaurant nearby which provides good food with very good price. Makesure to close the window if... more

My boyfriend and I booked this hotel after reading the review and seeing it in the top 5 hotel recomendations in the Lonley Planet guide. We paid 80 euros a night and for the 80 euros we could have booked last minute into a 4* hotel, but none of the 4* hotel reviews were as good as the San Pietrino... more

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights and we were fearful of what we were going to find mainly due to the fact that it was so much cheaper than so many other hotels in the area but we were delighted in what we found. Snug but modern room, great bathroom and comfortable bed. The only complaint I... more

We have just returned from 5 nights in Rome, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the San Pietrino. The rooms are slightly basic, but really good value (compared to prices we were quoted for the rest of Rome). We stayed in a double room with an internal bathroom (some rooms share a bathroom). The room was quite small, but very... more

Great Location, great staff, super clean! It wasn't my first time in Rome, but surely was the best! The hotel you choose makes all the difference and this choice was the best I made. more

An interesting hotel inside an office building. A little noisy but that didn't bother me since I'm a heavy sleeper. It took about 5 minutes to walk to the Vatican. more

Stayed here for 4 nights in September. Was conveniently located for the Vatican and the Metro. Clean, comfortable and recently decorated room with decent shower. Good facilities - internet, etc. Restaurant opposite is good for traditional Roman food. Only drawback was allowing them to order us a taxi from the airport. This was quoted at 40 euros by the hotel,... more

I loved this hotel. I am surprised that someone said they could not sleep because I found it to be very quiet and I think it is hard to find a quiet hotel in Rome. The staff was so friendly and you can't beat the free internet. It was a short walk to the Vatican, but far enough away from... more
