We booked this hotel as we were looking for a relatively cheap option in a good location in rome. The hotel is not located in the historic center of rome (if that's what you're looking for, do not book here). The place is located near piazza bologna - this is 2 stops from the termini on line b of the... more

I stayed at Mercure Piazza Bologna for 3 nights with my boyfriend. It is a fantastic location. It is 2 stops from main train station which is right in centre of Rome. The hotel is lovely. Not much character at all but is a great price (327 euro for 3 nights double room)for decent hotel in mddle of Rome. Locality... more

Stayed here for three nights in August as a 'cheap' option to the expensive city centre hotels (website rate 100Eur per night). Modern hotel (typically Accor) - everything works and is clean and just what you would expect from 2/3* Staff very friendly and helpful (and English-speaking!) Didn't eat in hotel so can't comment on food. Bathroom in my room... more

We stayed at Mercure Piazza Bologna for two nights as a pre-cruise stay. It is an Accor standard hotel, modern and comfortable. The rooms were not big but I wasn't expecting them to be big anyway. We had buffet breakfast at the hotel, good quality but not much variety. We had dinner once at the hotel because we were just... more

We booked the hotel on the hotel website on the assumption that a respected international chain like Mercure will be reliable in their descriptions and the price will be justified. We booked for 5days at an average rate of Euro 170 per night (without breakfast). Reaching the hotel wasn't easy. We arrived at the airport, then took the train to... more

This Hotel is located close to the Metro in a residential part of Rome. It's only a few minutes walk from the station but is a little tucked away . We spent the night before on a train and so arrived early at about 9am to leave our bags and were amazed when we were allowed to check-in and go... more

My parents and I stayed at this hotel while we were visiting Rome on holiday. I had searched for the best prices, and found that it was actually cheapest to go via the hotel's website, although web rates meant that no amendments could be made. We had a triple room (1 king sized and 1 single bed) and based on... more

We stayed at the Mercure hotel in Piazza Bologna for three nights. The hotel is not just beside the historic centre but is well conected through metro or bus.Walking to the Colosseum takes around 20 minutes. It is located in a quite residential area. I think for a 3 star hotel is good value for money. The room wasn't too big... more

I must say this hotel is excellent. We paid 240 euros for a 3 night stay and when we arrived we were shocked to see that it costs 240 euro's for 1 night! Excellent location and approx 5 mins walk from the metro station, very easy to find. Rooms are decorated to a very high standard with free safe, fridge... more

Stayed at the Mercure Piazza Bologna for 4 nights as part of GoAhead Tour. It was a fabulous, super-modern hotel. The location was great-not in the middle of things but close enough to the trains to easily get to all the major spots. Trains are very easy to navigate around on. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast... more
