I loved this hotel! We went to rome for a week, my fiance and I and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The staff were wonderful, especially those at breakfast, very attentive and friendly. The hotel was emmaculate with nice touches like slippers and a bath robe in the room! It was a block or two from the colloseum, our... more

Had a 3-night break here at the beginning of December. The hotel looks exactly like its photos on this and other websites, so no surprises. Reception staff friendly and efficient, room nice - quite large, HUGE bed, very comfortable, nice bathroom with great shower, nice toiletries, bathrobe, slippers....there was a turn-down service at night which was nice. Only slight problem... more

We stayed at the Hotel Capo d'Africa from November 26-30, 2008 and were quite impressed! We chose it after reading favorable reviews in travel books such as Frommers and on websites such as this. It is truly only a 5 min. walk to the Colloseum and Ancient Rome. The hotel itself is very modern and contemporary... especially the lobby. The... more

Stayed at the hotel last weekend (22nd Nov 08) and was pleased with what i found after reading the reviews on trip advisor. The room was stylish if simplistic with reasonably priced minibar and excellent sized bed with a good firm mattress. Taxi cost about 40 euros from the airport, and while checking in the desk without being asked produced... more

I have to say we were a bit disappointed in Hotel Capo D'Africa. Our last night in Rome on our honeymoon, it was our "splurge" hotel. However, we stayed at nicer establishments during our trip for far less money. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. As another poster mentioned, we were left to drag our bags up a... more

I stayed there last week with my parents and my aunty. I found the staff to be very pleasant and the rooms very clean. Its very near the Colossuem and there are many restaurants in the locality. We were recommended 'Comparone Restaurant' by the hotel. Do NOT eat here. They charged 4 euro per person for bread and then a... more

We booked the hotel after reading reviews on Tripadvisor, which we routinely refer to. (Suite Dreams was booked.) For the first time, we were a tad disappointed. First off, when we arrived, with five small bags, no porter offered to help -- two just stood around and watched. We actually didn't need the help, but to not offer was a... more

After all terrific reviews I booked this hotel for my wife and myself..I think that many of the reviews are a little misleading. My summary after a nice weekend in Rome is following: Location: Quiet, but nearest surroundings isn't excellent. You wouldn't just go outside the hotel to grab a coffee. Be prepared to walk. Restaurant: Didn't try. The terrass... more

A lovely hotel in an excellant location very close to the Colessum, the rooms are big, airy, modern and very clean. The overall impression of the hotel and services was excellant, they made us feel very welcome ! The little bit more you pay for this hotel is well worth it as its within a short walking distance of the... more
