This hotel is conveniently located near the Spanish Steps, the various ride-around-tourist buses, and the subway. The roof dining room is lovely. The hotel was very helpful in securing reservations for museums (except the Vatican, which doesn't work with anyone except the scalpers) and saved us a lot of hassle. I recommend this hotel highly, with two caveats: there are some groups... more

We stayed four nights in the Hotel Madrid after a cruise. The selection was due to a number of good travel site reviews that we also found to be accurate. The rooms were good size and the bathrooms very clean and large. Excellent cleanliness and attention to detail. The location is excellent – easy walking to Spanish steps area, Trevi... more

Ok, so if you are reading this, you'll notice this hotel is ranked in the #30's and that there are very little reviews. As someone who spent months searching for the right location, I was a little sketchy about this place because it didn't garner nearly as many comments as say, Residenza Cellini (which I also booked, and they were... more

What a delightful hotel. Clean, great staff and great breakfast in the morning. They were absolutely delightful and responded immediately to any problems, often going beyond the call of duty. The location is excellent but like most of Rome's streets, built on cobblestone so one has to maneuver carefully and avoid being the moving target of cars and scooters. The... more

Hotel Madrid was excellent. My husband and I with our two teenagers(15 and 13 years old) stayed for 6 days in July. The location of the hotel was perfect. The Hotel is right around the corner from the Spanish Steps and subway. We used the subway often. We found a favorite restaurant just steps away from the hotel. The breakfast... more

At the very last minute we switched our hotel from the Westin to here and are extremely glad we did. The location was perfect and no more than 15 minute walk to all the historic sites. During the hot summer days, it was great to be able to walk back to the hotel, cool off and nap and then be... more

We were two families of 5 (4 adults, 6 kids under 14) and found the Hotel Madrid to be perfect for our group. We each had family suites which had 3 single beds in one room and a king sized bed in the other, separated by a door. The rooms were very spacious and clean and had efficient A/C units... more

My family and some friends and I stayed here for one night before we went on a 12-day cruise. The service was wonderful and I would especially like to thank Antonio at the front desk, who went above and beyond to make us comfortable. He provided us with information about bus tours and events in the city, complete with maps... more

I've just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay in the Madrid Hotel in Rome. The location is ideal and is within walking distance of the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. The Rooms are clean with nice bathrooms and the breakfast is your usual continental style with pastries, rolls, cereal & fruit. We stayed in a suite which... more

Although the rooms are on the small side, they are very clean. Bathrooms were spacious and modern. We did not spend much time in the rooms, except to get over jet lag the first day. Breakfast is included and it was excellent, something for everyone at their rooftop garden including great cappuccino and hot chocolate for the kids. The location... more
