Stayed at this hotel 29 oct - 1 nov.The location is good, being close to bus, tram and metro. Rooms are small but clean, beds comfortable, toiletries and towels replaced daily.breakfast is good -mostly continental plus scrambled egg and bacon. Overall good value for money paid for hotel in Rome. On minus side staff are miserable - cant say they... more

IF CONSIDERING STAYING AT HOTEL PRIME VILLA TORLONIA PLEASE READ THIS WARNING We stayed at Hotel Prime Villa Torlonia for four days early in October, 2008 at the end of a two month holiday through England and Europe. On the evening of October 7th, we went out for an evening meal around 8pm, locking our 2nd floor hotel room and... more

My husband and I stayed here three nights in early Oct 08. The staff was generally unfriendly, but we chose to ignore it as we wanted to focus on having a great time in Rome. However, the morning we were checking out, we discovered that someone had broken into our room and stolen our video camera and my husband's watch.... more

The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood not very far from the central station (2 metro stations ahead). It takes something like 15 minutes to get by bus or by metro to the center of Rome. The hotel self is quite, clean with good breakfast. The only problem we had is the service of the front desk that was... more

Had a good 4 night stay at this hotel in early October. As previous reviews have stated it is away from the centre, but we found that it was a nice 20-30 minute walk to the major sights each day. That meant we got to see many interesting sights (and a wide variety of authority uniforms) on the way. Our... more

Villa Torlonia seemed pretty good value. It wasn't expensive, and correspondingly the room wasn't amazing. It was big, with plenty of space and high ceilings. When we first arrived the shower didn't drain away properly, but it was fixed first thing in the morning. The wireless internet in the lobby didn't work during our 5 day stay. The staff were... more

We really liked our stay at Prime hotel Villa Torlonia in Rome. The room was big enough with TV, AC, ensuite bathroom, and the price was more than o.k. 160,00 Euros for 2 people - per 3 nights.Breakfast was more than good and it was included into the price. We arrived quite early and before check-in time, but that was... more

Positive Points Great Area - Felt safe, good value restaurants (the nearby Chinese was especially good - we'd been in Italy nearly a month and were kind of over Pizza and Pasta). Nearby Gelletaria excellent too. 2 mins walk to Metro, 20 mins walk to Trivi Fountain/Spanish Steps, can reach Vatican 10 mins on tram, Colosseum 8 mins on Metro.... more

The hotel was what I expected. It was very clean and the rooms were massive for European standards. The receptionists were very helpful as well. Breakfast was excellent and we always got a table each morning, it was never crowded. The hotel is a 3-5 minute walk to Policlinico station, which was 2 stops to get to the Termini station... more

We stayed here for 4 nights in August and were very happy with the hotel for the price we paid, about £370 for 2 rooms. The rooms were clean and modern. The TV was only in Italian though so if you can't understand you have had it. It is only a short walk to the metro, so getting around is... more
