We - two adults - booked our stayed on the hotel's website and were offered a double room at a special summer rate of 165 Euros. Imagine our surprise when we arrived and were told it would be 180 Euros because expenses had gone up. We had been to Bologna, Venice, and Florence - all very pleasant stays - and... more

We stayed at the Alimandi Tunis Hotel part of the Alimandi Group. It was perfect, the rooms/bathroom were comfortable and spotlessly clean with "white" towels and bedlinen. Breakfast far above the average. The staff were knowleagable and polite, nothing was too much trouble. Immediately opposite Vatican City and very easy to get to other parts of Rome, taxi approx 10eu... more

Most recently I stayed at this hotel in August 2008, but I also stayed there during a previous trip to Rome in 2005. The hotel was a nice as I remebered. The rooms are very large for Europe and they are one of the few hotels with actual quad rooms, meaning two double/queen beds. Most hotels simply roll cots into... more

We stayed at the via Tunisi street hotel and had a wonderful experience. You might think the hotel is out of the way near the Vatican but the bus system in Rome is so convenient and the front desk is very helpful finding the right bus to get you where you want to go. The rooms were a good size... more

This hotel was far beyond our expectations. We have many fond memories of our time there. The personnel were friendly, courteous and respectful . They could not have done more for us to make our time there more enjoyable. We have recommended this hotel to family and friends. Stay and have a great time !!!! more

I've been coming to Alimandi since 1966. I might be prejudice but I still marvel at the wonderful job they have done and continue to do with thier hotels. Alimandi Vaticano is a wonderful hotel with large ,clean and beautiful rooms, great service especially Aldo at the front desk. Great food, and here I'm an expert since I have been... more

The Alimandi has been our Rome Hotel of choice on three occasions - the latest in 2006, when we travelled with Alfredo deBonis, who does cultural and culiinary tours in Italy. The family welcomes you to their charming location - convenient for a Vatican visit, or shopping, etc., and you quickly feel "at home". Breakfast on their rooftop can't be... more

The family atmosphere of the Hotel Alimandi is truly the characteristic that distinguishes it as the place to stay when visiting Rome, Italy and especially Saint Peter's and the Vatican Museum. My wife and I have been guests of the Alimandi Family since 1969 when we spent that summer on an extended, 2 month honeymoon in Europe visiting Italy, Austria,... more

This was one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at throughout all our travels. It was the people who owned the hotel that made it all the more amazing-- the Alimandi family, especially Grazia. Grazia helped us tremendously every night on where to go, what to do, tips to get into the Vatican when the line is shorter, and... more

We stayed at the Alimandi Tunisi (1 block from the Vatican Musuem) for 5 nights before touring Italy to return again for another night. Staff was friendly, professional and spoke English. Breakfast is served in a lovely sun room on the roof from which you can see the Vatican walls. Breakfast had a nice selection. Rooms are perfectly adequate. Near... more
