We recently stayed at the Turner Hotel. Overall, it was quite pleasant, and the staff were friendly and helpful. While the hotel was what you'd expect for a city hotel (quite basic, but clean and comfortable), it was quite a walking distance from the main sites (about a good 15 minute walk), which, as we were doing a lot of... more

This hotel has a lot of character it is different from the multi owned hotel chains The hotel itself is quirky in the sense of being original very 1930's with lots of marble, cristal and art deco furniture. The rooms have high ceilings and air conditioning a must for the high summer, also the rooms are spotless. The staff are very... more

Our Roman adventure started with an over-priced cab journey to the hotel, so it was a welcome relief to step inside the Turner to find a friendly face and rather grand surroundings! Our room had marble flooring, fabric covered walls, elegant cornicing and ceiling. The bed was in a rococo style. So far so stylish and so Italian. Very nice...... more

This hotel was the best choice i could have made while staying in Rome. I had transfer from the airport to the hotel and back included in the price for the room and didn't have to pay anything extra which was great cause i don't know Rome that well. The room i had ordered was exactly as they showed it... more

Just got back from a few days at the Turner and enjoyed every minute. The staff are great and Laura in the dining room is welcoming and knowlegeable. The corridor areas of the hotel are looking a bit 'tired' but the rooms are clean, fresh and a good size. The scaffolding mentioned by a previous reviewer was being removed as... more

We traveled through Europe for about a month and stayed in a variety of different hotels throughout our visit. This hotel was very nice (a supposed 4 star hotel!) but the customer service was lacking. When we checked in the concierge told us that breakfast was included in our price, and we didnt think it was so we asked him... more

Guided to this hotel by a favorable review from Gambero Rosso (an Italian guide to food and wine) my wife and I had high expectations that were only partially met. Our fifth-floor, standard room was ample and well-decorated but could be accessed only by changing elevators on the way up, as the hotel's rooms run into a neighboring building. Further,... more

This hotel is located just outside the Porta Pia gate, in a mixed residential/commercial neighborhood. There is a bus stop just a few steps from the door, and a bus (number 90) that gets you to Termini station in just a few minutes. It took us a total of 15 minutes from checking out to arriving at Termini early on... more

When we stayed at the Hotel Turner I could not fault it one little bit. I imagine that there are some rooms that need a bit of tarting up, but the room I stayed in was lovely. The bathroom was great, lots of marble and gold!! The hotel staff are friendly and helpful, when we arrived they took a photocopy... more

Ideal location for sightseeing in Rome; just a short bus ride to most attractions/areas! The bus stop was right outside our Hotel...number 62! The hotel was clean and tidy, friendly staff (especially our 'breakfast lady')! The decor is classically italian baroque with grand marble interior. The only downside, was the tiny shower! more
