I had searched the Internet for weeks and found these reviews invaluable. I find it only fair to now add my own findings. Excellent central location to shops, bars, train and metro station. All major sites within easy walking distance. Hotel very clean and the lounge/bar area most comfortable. The bar man on duty was excellent company and couldn't be... more

Having read some of the revews of this hotel, I was more than slightly concerned about what I would find on arrival. My concerns were wholly unfounded. The desk staff were unfailingly courteous and helpful, as well as being extremely efficient. Other members of staff - cleaners, porters, waiters etc., were equally friendly and polite. The room was immaculately clean,... more

I was a bit worried about staying at the Mondial after seeing some of the reviews. But fear not it is a traditional European 4 star hotel. Ok so maybe not the most modern rooms but what else would you expect in a city where you are surrounded by buildings that date several hundred years BC! The room we had... more

I wrote a review already but clicked enter by mistake, and lost my review. Bummer. I'll try again. I'll be brief as it's too frustrating to lose the review I was working on. We were able to get three rooms by just walking in off the street. We were so relieved as we had booked at the Sonya Suites and... more

My husband and I stayed at the Mondial for 3 nights from 27th to 30th Sept. This was not a 4 star hotel, it was awful. The staff on the reception desk were not very helpful. Our bedroom was depressing and shabby (not shabby chic) just shabby and old fashioned. In the bathroom we had 1 small tube of shower... more

The Good: The location was decent. It wasn't near any of the major sites but it's close to the train station that gets you to those sites. The front desk staff was very helpful and nice. Breakfast was good, and the lobby was charming. The Bad, and The Ugly: The rooms were definitely not 4-star quality. The beds were small... more

Unfortunatly, I'm still in this hotel for one more night. The level of service is truly appalling here. While some of the staff are very helpful and quite nice, the majority are really arrogant, rude and generally snide to the extreme. On arrival I requested a smoking room for myself and my mother and cousin( their first trip to Rome)... more

We ended up this hotel after having booked at 3* close by, via Expedia, which was closed on arrival - so this was their alternative with no extra cost to us, due to inconvenience. Good location agree with others re distance from Termini. Close to metro for general getting around. Arrived on 19th September in pouring rain which didn't stop... more

The hotel absolutly meets the rating of 4 stars. Rooms are very big, cleen and comfortable, with high ceilings. Breakfast is excellent in comparison with the common breakfast in the Central Europe, it is like the reach breakfast in Scandinavian countries. The location of the hotel is also very good (7 min from the railway station Termini). There was some... more

Stayed at the Mondial for three nights in August. Location is great, right by the Republic metro station. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Welcome maps available upon arrival. The only problem with Rome is a lot of streets don't have signs on them, so although the maps are good...it can be hard to figure out where you are or where... more
