This was our first visit to Rome and the Hotel Sistina couldn't have been a better choice. Centrally located and within easy reach of all the sights. Friendly and helpful staff-who appreciated our efforts with their language. Rooms a bit tired but clean.Bed was comfortable and the bathroom really quite luxurious.Plenty of choice at breakfast. Would we book again?-yes. more
Stayed here for my first trip to Rome... The hotel was in a cracking location... 2mins from the Spanish Steps which is fairly much the most central part of Rome The hotel was clean and tidy.. Rooms were a bit dated but the Bathroom was HUGE and lovely ! I would recommend this hotel due to its great location. Ideal... more
Have just spent 4 nights here and could not have been more pleased. From the way my early email queries were answered to the very last transfer arrangement, everything was handled in a friendly, efficient and caring manner. I felt that the management really wanted us to have a good holiday.. and we did...The location, near the Spanish Steps, was... more
The Sistina wasn't our first choice, but we'd definitely go back. It's small and very friendly, brilliantly central and a laid-back place to stay. The rooms are beautifully old-fashioned, none of your inpersonal, formica, where-am-I-because-all-these-hotel-rooms-are-exactly-the same rubbish. Comfy beds and a well-stocked minibar plus air conditioning made our stay a pleasure. The staff were helpful and friendly and the buffet... more
Our two nights at the Sistina Hotel were among the longest nights of my life. Rome was our last stop on a 3-city tour of Italy, and we had stayed at a 4-star hotel in each city we visited. Each hotel was great, except the Sistina. We couldn't believe that it was considered a "4-star" hotel. There was only one... more
When another hotel refused to honor a confirmed reservation, we wound up at the Sistina. What a delightful surprise - great staff, great room, perfect location, beautiful public rooms, and a great breakfast. The only drawback was the weak A/C; but, then, we were in Rome during a brutal heat wave. We probably did better at this hotel than our... more
I read the reviews and booked a twin room. We could only guess how this hotel could be rated 4 Stars..Maybe because if offers hairdryers and sometimes eggs at breaksfast? What it does not have is any news or tv channel in English. Upon arrival there was not a doorman (never was) nor a bellman. We found in our room-a... more
A very nice hotel, not sure it deserves a 4 star rating. There are NO amenities at this hotel. The staff however was great. To sum up the room were a little beat and the hotel a little run down. Great location. more
The Sistina is a terrific spot to venture forth to explore most of Rome. We had a triple room which was very spacious for our 18-year old daughter, husband, and myself although the shower was small. My husband, however, had no problem fitting in and he's 6'5" and 235 lbs. The beds were very comfortable. The first night we discovered... more
