It is not the Ritz, but it does not pretend to be (and I'm happy it isn't). It is a very nice bed and breakfast, as if you had some well-to-do relatives in Dublin with a delightful, professional staff and they invited you to stay in their well-furnished townhouse. I was travelling on business and wanted to be comfortable but... more

I absolutely loved the Butler's Townhouse. I arrived there around noon after a 6.5 hour flight from Canada. There wasn't a room ready at that time but Cecilia and Kieran immediately made me feel at home. They offered me "real" tea and let me lounge in the drawing room while my room was being prepared. The breakfasts every morning were... more

We always book our hotels from Tripadvisor reviews and I suppose there is a first time for everything and this is the first time it has not worked. On arrival the staff were very helpful and accommodating however if it is a 5* hotel as it claims the staff alone cannot achieve this, the hotel including our bedroom was very... more

This was our first trip to Ireland. What a delight it was to have such a warm and truly friendly introduction via the staff at Butler's Town House in Dublin! Our room was charming, the drawing room was delightful, and we've not had tea anywhere that was good as what was served to us there (along with their very wonderful... more

We were absolutely surprised at the elegant , lavish and historical atmosphere of this Town House. The staff were more than we could ask for, and in particular Cecelia, who treated us as part of the family, with the type of induvidual care and attention that we did not expect. It was a pleasure for us to be able to... more

Sorry but I would say Very disgusting this is the right term to describe the whole experience in that deteriorating hotel. The entrance is not so guest friendly, there's no even facilities for elderly / handicap person. reception area is very inconvenient you have to go to the lower ground. At the very top the room is stinky smell. The... more

Butlers is a fantastic looking hotel - a converted town house with the highest of ceilings. The drawing room is really inviting and the staff were really helpful. It's in a little out of town but two minutes from Lansdowne Road DART station which takes you straight into the city or out to the beautiful Dublin coastline. It's on the... more

Who needs a butler when the Butler's Townhouse has Cecilia- an absolute gem!!! Her delightful smile and cheery voice greeted us as if we had been long lost friends. After explaining the Butler's amenities and routine, she escorted us to our rooms, demonstrated various features and immediately requested staff assistance to close a window that had been stuck open. We... more

Butler's Town House Hotel was EXACTLY the kind of Dublin property I had been looking for. It's in a restored Georgian house that's both homey and luxurious. I arrived three hours before check-in and Cecilia greeted me like a long-lost friend. She showed me to my room and offered me a pot of some of the best tea (Irish breakfast!)... more

This is a one of a kind place. Great Staff, couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly. Best breakfast we had in Ireland. Perfect location. A very pretty mile walk from center city made this a rare quiet neighborhood. A one block walk from local pubs and restaurants. Large comfortable room with all the conveniences. Very reasonable price. Only criticism... more
