We traveled in a group of teachers recently to Puerto Rico and saw the rain forest, the Camuy Caves and Vieques Island. The intent of our trip was to see and learn of the various semi tropical ecosystems first hand and learn about them from the experience and from our fellow teachers. We booked Golden Heron tours through a package with The Crow's Nest. It made no mention of health limitations, or the conditions of the Kayaks. This group is not well organized and runs a slo\ipshod trip. Do not book this trip that starts at 2PM and ends around 8:30. Instead, go on the motorized boat that is much shorter duration.... more

We recently went out with Golden Heron Ecotours and had the most wonderful day of our vacation in Puerto Rico. We started out in the mangrove canals where we learned about the way it all works and then went snorkeling with 3 excellent guides. Dinner by the bonfire as the sun set was only a warm up to the kayaking... more
