I travelled to seattle from london with my fiance. We love the states! Anyway, whilst in seattle, a very french feeling city, we visited Pike Place Market. I am not a person that enjoys walking for ages, but i found this place so remakable. The atmosphere was buzzing, especially at the fish stand. From the First ever starbucks coffe shop... more

I enjoyed Pike Place Market. Sure....it was a tourist attraction but Wow! The colors, smells, and diversity of the food was a great experience. It's one of those places you can choose to spend all day or just a few hours more

This is a 'must do' in Seattle, and we went there several times during our 2 weeks stay here. Tip: Try and go during the weekdays, and the weekends are just too busy and less enjoyable. There is such a buzz and vibrancy about the place, and a great variety of food and other items. Yes, you pay up to... more

Great plae to visit when in Seattle. Definitely buy some fresh flowers! They are so beautifully constructed and wrapped and at a really good price! I loved everything about it. Wish we had one in Atlanta. Everything looked so fresh. The fish market is there too..pretty famous where they throw fish around. THey'll throw you a fish if you buy... more

If you don't go to the Pike Place Market, you have not seen Seattle. You do not have to be a foodie to appreciate the market. Virtually any type of food you can think of and more is there. There are also some vendors not selling food. In addition, there are numerous restaurants. I particularly enjoyed Pike Place Fish (I... more

This stop was mostly because my wife wanted to go to Pike's Place Market. It wasn't hard to convince me, I was curious as well, it's a Seattle "must see", and I wanted a coffee from the "original" Starbucks anyway. We were smart and went on a Monday. I have no clue why ANYONE would even attempt to go on... more

Pike Place Market is one of the major tourist draws of Seattle, but the hype exceeds the actual experience, I'm afraid. The market is always crowded, more so during the summer months, and is full of lots and lots of overpriced tourist trinkets. Look for huge crowds of gawking onlookers at the corner fish market who, for some inexplicable reason,... more

We had a great time at Pike Place Market and spent a lot of time there. We went back for a second day and explored more levels. There is so much to experience. Be sure to order up one of Uli's Famous Sausages.... delicious! more

We went to the Market on a Saturday afternoon -- maybe not the best idea! It seems like a fascinating place to people-watch, shop, and taste test...but struggling through the crowds puts a damper on that experience. I was thrilled to check out the famous fish market, and was awed by all the paper-wrapped bundles of beautiful flowers people were... more

Visiting this place is a feast for the senses. The colors of the endless flower vendors (with the biggest bouquets being no more than $15). The smells, colors and shapes of the fish markets - which were especially fun for a land locked Texas family. The styles and colors of all the local artisans with tons of hand made, beautiful... more
