The Sandpiper Beacon is not one of the most fancy hotels but the quality of the management and employees is excelent. Cost at this time of year is wonderful. Lovely, two-story condo on secluded, gated beach for $88 a night. What more do you need to know? The only downside, act of nature, was a lingering green algae/seaweed problem on the beach. We tolerated it, though. Nice property, undergoing some renovation that did not disturb us. Bedroom on entry/lower level (not ground floor) of condo. Everything else upstairs. So,... more
