Mine Hotel Boutique

Jan 6, 2009

The Mine Hotel may be one of the best places to stay in Buenos Aires. We were there over Xmas 2008 and could not be happier with the experience. The hotel is very well located, extremely clean and the service was amazing. We highly recommend this hotel!! more

Vain Boutique Hotel

Jan 6, 2009

The Vain Boutique has seen better days. The hotel is not in great condition and sleeping can be difficult as a lot of light gets in through the doors (partly made of glass) for each room. The bathrooms are quite dingy and in need of repair. The service is minimal. Overall a decent location, but much better value can be... more

Although you might confuse the place for a tourist trap by the hordes of foreigners waiting outside for a table, the restaurant has excellent food and is beautiful inside. We went there in December 2008. The service was very good and our waiter was helpful with ordering but also fast and polite. The meat is fantastic and so are the... more

Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires

Jan 6, 2009

We spent five nights at this hotel at the start of a two-week trip in Argentina. I found it to be a very expensive hotel (e.g. USD500-600 per night for a basic room; a taxi transfer from the airport organised by the hotel would have cost about USD150, whereas a remise taxi from the airport cost us about USD 40).... more

The Mine Hotel is in a great location, Palermo Soho and the rooms are clean and modern. The staff was friendly and the property is inviting and kept up well. more

Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires

Jan 5, 2009

We went for our honeymoon and had a lovely stay. The staff were great and attended to our every need....very friendly and everything you would expect from a Four Seasons property. The room was exactly as promised via our reservation request. The also have a lovely spa and extensive complimentary continental breakfast. The location is central--walkable to many shops and... more

Tryp Buenos Aires

Jan 5, 2009

We stayed at the Tryp for just one night at the end of our Argentina vacation (we were in the Patagonia region for most of it), before booking the Tryp as our final night in Argentina. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone interested in visiting Buenos Aires. PROS: --large, luxurious, comfortable beds --many english channels on tv! we... more

We decided to stay an extra day in Buenos Aires and found a vacancy in this hotel. The breakfast was very nice. Hotel staff were good. Good location. Lobby was small but nice. The hotel itself was slightly aged. The had internet access for free on computers in the lobby, there was a bit of a wait at times, but... more

This hotel was good. We stayed two nights. The first room they gave us was a smoking room when we had requested non smoking. They showed us a few rooms to switch to, and slightly upgraded our room in switching us. The room was nice, fairly modern. Melina at the front desk was very helpful. The pool and sauna was... more

Jan 5, 2009

We stayed from Dec 29th 2008 untill January 4th 2009 with my wife and friends. We all had a major complaint with the service: Although breakfast was included in the price they refused to bring it to the room - even at an additional service charge. If you wanted breakfast in the room you had to pay it all over... more

A good hotel, very expensive but in a really good location in Palermo Soho. Poor breakfast and very noisy due to the fact that the doors of the rooms are made of a very noisy material. I loved the location and that´s it. more

Tribeca Buenos Aires Apart

Jan 5, 2009

The hotel is in the center of town right next to the world famous Obelix and therefore very near to the subway. It is a very high quality hotel especially compared to most of South America. After a long trip around South America it felt like entering a 7 star resort! Beds are big and comfortable. Hotel has good security.... more

The Cocker

Jan 5, 2009

The Cocker gave us a wonderful introduction to Buenos Aires. After a long flight from London, sitting outside on the terrace and chatting about our plans and receiving suggestions from Amanda was the ideal start. The building is very characterful, airy and bright. Breakfast was a simple but tasty and filling affair. Our room (12-06) was large and quiet with... more

The food is excellent and authentically Italian. However, during our visit on Dec 2008, we paid $300 ( $ 90 US) for 2 , with one glass of house wine (an excellent Cabernet ). We find that this is a bit high for Buenose Aires. We have had excellent Italian dinners at Bella Italia for a lot less (Repiblic of... more

Jan 5, 2009

We discovered this lovely little hotel entirely by accident, while strolling around Plaza Dorrego in the San Telmo quarter. Flocks of people (not only tourists) cram the square and the surrounding streets every Sunday from about 10AM onwards, for the antique flea market (which closes around 6PM) and to generally have fun, watch outdoor milongas, listen to street musicians and... more

Palermo Viejo Bed & Breakfast

Jan 5, 2009

We stayed here for 3 nights in all, 2 at the beginning of our holiday and 1 at the end. It was perfect for us. The location was great: you can easily spend a whole day strolling through the parks, enjoying the bars and restaurants and wondering round the boutiques. We felt totally secure at all times of the day... more

Overall, I think the hotel was a good pick. It was just around the corner from the main shopping street. The rooms were clean, the bedding plush. The breakfast was great! I felt the business center staff could have more helpful. I went to the center 4-5 times, and always had to wait for the attendent to get off the... more

I felt that the Estancia Villa Maria was a nice place to visit for a couple days to unwind during our extended South American trip. The place is certainly an oasis in a fairly rundown town outside the international airport. My daughters went horseback riding and swimming in the pool, which is a bit dated, but otherwise clean. The grounds... more

Hollywood Suites & Lofts

Hollywood Lofts and Suites is a great place to stay. The location is absolutely terrific in Palermo Hollywood. There are many, many great restaurants, bars, clubs, etc. in blocks away, and even more a few more blocks away in Palermo Soho. I stayed in Tower 1 for four nights and then returned a few days later in Tower 2. The... more

There are two of these restaurants across the street from each other. My wife and I had dinner in the one they call the "seafood" part. We went into the "steak one" first and they let us know that our reservation was across the street and even walked us over there. We had a wonderful time and the food was... more
